Do I need to buy your kit to start?
No. We don't sell kits. The Beginner's course includes a curated material recommendation list pointing to named third-party suppliers; you buy direct, with no affiliate commission to us. The starter kit specification is around $300.
How long until I'm making fragrance I'm actually happy with?
Most students produce their first coherent composition by week six of the Beginner's course. Most students feel they're making something they'd give as a gift by month four. Indie-launchable work typically takes 18-24 months of regular practice.
Is home perfumery legal?
Yes, with caveats. Personal-use composition is unrestricted in most jurisdictions. Selling skin-applied fragrance has regulatory requirements (IFRA compliance, EU CPNP registration, FDA cosmetic regulations) that we cover in detail in the Indie Perfumer's Business Guide.
